Martial Arts Student Programs

Our program starts kids at a young age, 4-5 years old, this gives them the tools and ability to be more confident, focused and self-controlled. These skills are the foundation for future success in everything they will do. Our instructors will help your young child learn important life-lessons such as listening, following directions and being polite and respectful ….. and we do it in a fun, exciting class that they’ll love! Your child will also improve balance, coordination and fitness – the action never stops!
Our Junior Karate Program for kids 6 – 12 years old is the best way for a child to develop the skills and attitudes needed for success in school, sports, social situations and life in general. Our classes are fun, fast-paced and exciting and students love learning new skills and being rewarded for their accomplishments (earning new belts). Parents will love seeing their child’s increased confidence, self-discipline, focus and respect. And your child will be in a physical activity that increases strength and endurance, balance and coordination. It’s a total-package activity!
Parents know that teens need an environment that promotes good health and fitness habits, a positive mind-set and encourages respect, self-discipline and focus. Our martial arts programs do all those things…and more! Experienced instructors (senseis) are role-models that teens can look up to and learn from. And the skills of self defense that your teen will be learning will give them confidence in facing any challenge in the future. We’ve seen that learning martial arts can help a teen set a positive and focused direction for their life.

From Karate, Kung Fu, Samurai Sword or Fitness Kickboxing – all of these programs will open up a whole new world of fun, fitness, friends and skill. Don’t let your age or current fitness level hold you back from starting – our instructors will start you off slowly and safely, guiding you on your martial arts or fitness journey. If you’re like a lot of people who try it, you’ll be “hooked” before you know it and you’ll experience work, family and life with the great feelings of fitness, confidence, more energy and a powerful, positive attitude.
Combining elements of kickboxing, martial arts, muscle-toning, cardio and flexibility, this class has it all. Teens and adults will love this upbeat and fast-paced fitness kickboxing class. There is no better way to shed pounds and build muscle in every single part of your body. Classes are 45 minutes long and are held at our Penfield location on Tuesdays 7:00-7:45 pm and Saturdays 8:00-8:45 am.
The Iaido class teaches various sword strikes, blocks and movements along with formalized patterns (kata) – with a wooden sword initially, then later a metal (unsharpened) sword. No martial arts experience is needed for either class and beginners are always welcome. Iaido is currently offered at ou Brighton and Webster locations.
