SUMMARY:2022 Fall Niagara Karate Championship
DESCRIPTION:This is a Traditional Karate tournament using modified AAU/WKF rules. There are divisions for Kata\, Kobudo (weapons kata) and Kumite (sparring). \nSunday\, November 13th\, 2022 \nLocation: RIT Inn & Conference Center\, 5257 West Henrietta rd\, Henrietta\, NY \nTime: (Note: These are anticipated start times\, not exact start times\, so don’t arrive later than the scheduled time for your division or it may have already run.) \n9:00 a.m. Rules & Information meeting for athletes\, parents & referees \n9:15 a.m. 19-34 yrs. Advanced M/F & 35+ Advanced divisions M/F \n9:30 a.m. 5-8 yrs. (all divisions) \n10:30 a.m. 9-12 yrs (all divisions) \n12:00 p.m. 13-18 yrs. (all divisions) \n12:30 p.m. 19+ (beg.\, nov.\, int.) \n12:30 p.m. 4-6 yrs. Tiny Tigers Division $20 entry fee (basics/kata & board breaking) \nEvents: \nKobudo (weapons) – number scoring \nKata – two competitors up at a time (flag system) \nKumite (sparring) – single elimination \nBoard Breaking – 3 boards per person \nTiger division – individual basics/kata\, board breaking (1 child size board) \nDivisions: \nAthletes are grouped by age and experience level \nBeginner\, under 1 year experience\, \nNovice\, 1-2 years experience\, \nIntermediate\, 2-4 years experience\, \nAdvanced\, over 4 years experience\, \nFee: \n$60 for 1 event \n$80 for 2 or more events \n$25 for Tiger Division 4-6 yrs old  individual basics/kata\, board breaking (1 child size board) \nDress: \nTraditional karate uniform. No t-shirts. \nEquipment: \nFoam gloves and boots (any color) or AAU/WKF equipment. Foam helmet (face shield optional) for everyone. Mouthguards are mandatory for everyone. Cup and supporter are mandatory for males.  Rib guards and Shin/instep guards are optional. \nRegistration: \nThis is a pre-registration only event. No registrations taken at door. Early registration closes at midnight Thursday Nov. 3rd\, 2022.  Late registration ($20 late fee) from 11/4/22 til 11/10/22. \nCall (585) 475-9250 if you have questions. \nAwards: \nChampionship Medals for 1st\, 2nd\, & 3rd places. Participation awards for all participants. \nSpectator Fee:  \n$8 for ages 12 and up; $5 for 6-11 years old. 5 and under is free.
