The seminar is being put on the International Isshin ryu Karate Federation. \nRegistration for this seminar also includes IIKF lifetime membership for non-members. SUMMARY:Karate Competition Team - Open practice and information meeting
DESCRIPTION:Students who are interested in finding out more information about our Fall competition team can join us for a special practice session at the Brighton dojo from 6 – 7 pm.  We will go over rules for karate tournaments as well as the expectations\, goals and details for our fall team. \nThe team will have weekly practices on Fridays from 6 – 7:30 pm (location to be determined). This will be a 10 week season. Team members will be expected to attend at least 3 of the 4 the designated tournaments.  Team members may also purchase a personalize MAA competition team warmup jacket. Team members will be trained for competition in kata\, sparring and weapons (brown belt and higher). \nThe team is for students who are at least 8 years old and a minimum of Orange belt level.  Teens and adults may also join the team. \nThere are going to be at least 4 competitions this fall – 9/17 Dojo tournament\, 10/2 Rochester tournament\,\, 10/15 Livonia tournament\, 11/13 Rochester tournament. There is no fee to come to this first practice session (after that\, the fee is $220 for the season).  Sensei Matt Dorsey and Sensei Kelly Williams will be the main coaches for the team. \n
