DESCRIPTION:It’s our annual dojo family picnic!  Come join us for an afternoon of fun\, friends and food.  We’re meeting at Mendon Ponds park – Southview Shelter and the picnic will run from noon till 2:30 pm  This is not a drop-off event – we want our dojo families to join in the fun! \nFamilies should bring their own food and drink\, and something to share with others – your favorite picnic dish\, a snack\, dessert\, etc.  We’ll have games and activities for the kids and families and our Summer 2023 Apprentice Black Belt candidates will perform and be presented their new ranks with a special belt graduation ceremony. \nKids should wear footwear for activities.  Sunscreen\, too.  And bring plenty of water to hydrate.  Get ready for a fun afternoon with lots of activities including everyone’s favorite – the egg toss!  Messy but fun! \nIf it’s a rainy day and we have to cancel the picnic\, we’ll let everyone know by email and on our dojo Facebook pages.

DESCRIPTION:This exciting karate tournament will feature divisions for all ages and belt levels.  Training for compeitions and learning how to win (and lose) are important experiences for all karate students. Students from all Martial Arts America schools are eligible to participate.  The tournament will be held at the Brighton dojo branch (3450 Winton Place\, Rochester). \n2:00pm Tigers (kata and board breaking)\n2:30 pm White\, Yellow & Orange belts\n3:15 pm Green through Adv. Purple belts\n4:00 pm Brown through Black Belts\n\nThere will be kata and padded weapons fighting. Awards for top places but the emphasis is on Fun\, Friendship and Good Sportsmanship!\n 3:30 pm – Brown belts and higher (ages 6 – 12)\, Teens & Adults all belt levels – Kata and sparring\n\nAll competitiors will recieve a karate award for participating. SUMMARY:Dojo Holiday Party
DESCRIPTION:Keeping with the spirit of holiday season\, we’re hosting a dojo holiday party at each of our dojos on this Saturday Dec. 3rd.  And we want YOU to come and join us. We want to share food\, connection\, conversation and fun with all of you – our  dojo family. \nHere’s the details:  \nBecause of the number of students we have and limited space\, we’re splitting the party into two group by the age of the student. \nFrom 5 – 6 pm\, the party will be for our students up to 9 years old and their families \nFrom 6 – 7 pm\, we’ll have the party for students over 8 years old and their families. \n(If you have students in both age groups\, you can choose either time). \nThe dojo will provide some snacks and treats and we’d love for you to bring your favorite holiday dish to share with everyone.  it can be anything you’d like – a hot dish or a cold one\, or sweet or salty treats\, or a special family tradition that you want to share.  There’s a sign up list on the dojo front counter
