This seminar is for you. We will be exploriing the two main sword arts – Kendo and Iaido. \nKendo is the fast moving\, high energy sport of fighting with bamboo swords and wearing body armour. It emphasizes quick movement\, precise targeting and fast reflexes. \nIaido uses the wooden sword (bokken) or unsharpened metal sword and teaches the traditional drawiing\, striking and sheathing of the sword. Katas (formalized routines) are taught in a spirit of relaxed focus and mental alertness. \nNo experience in martial arts is needed for this seminar – we will cover basic\, intermediate and advanced moves and concepts. \nAges 12 and up.
