DESCRIPTION:This class is a great opportunity to learn how to help you child practice and improve their karate moves at home.  Our MAA instructors will teach you a number of fun and useful drills and games that you can do with your child at home.  You’ll learn how to hold the pads properly to help your child develop more power and more more speed in their kicks\, strikes and blocks.  Practicing at home with your child will be a great way to share in your child’s karate experience. \nThis workshop will run for 30 minutes and you’ll get 2 small square hand targets with the fee.  Your child should attend the class with you. You NEED to know these moves\n\nThese seminars will be taught by Sensei Curt Sawyer\, Sensei Matt Dorsey and Kyoshi Mike Downs -some of the senior IIKF Isshin ryu karate instructors in Western NY.\n\nRegister today to reserve your spot. DESCRIPTION:Although this tournament is sponsored by the International Isshin ryu Karate Federation\, it’s open to ALL  karate styles.  This is a Traditional Karate tournament using modified AAU rules. There are divisions for Kata\, Kobudo (weapons kata)\, Kumite (sparring) and Board Breaking. \nSunday\, October 20th\, 2019 \nLocation:  Samurai Martial Arts\, 1512 Spencerport rd.\, Rochester\, NY \nTime: (Note: These are anticipated start times\, not exact start times\, so don’t arrive later than the scheduled time for your division or it may have already run.) \n9:30 a.m. Rules & Information meeting for athletes\, parents & referees \n10:00 a.m. 19-34 yrs. Advanced M/F & 35+ Advanced divisions M/F \n10:00 am  4-8 yrs. (all divisions) \n11:00 a.m. 9-12 yrs (all divisions) \n12:00 p.m. 13-18 yrs.
